Season of Giving

For nearly 50 years, MedGyn has been a global leader in manufacturing high-quality medical devices, instruments, and equipment for women’s health.  In alignment with our mission, MedGyn continues to provide innovative products to improve women’s health worldwide. Our collaboration with OB/GYN professionals, allows our organization the unique opportunity of transforming direct feedback from providers into products needed at the forefront of women’s healthcare.

As an organization, from our Leadership Team to our individual team members, we value people and their health and well-being. Each year MedGyn continues to support organizations with similar missions. Some of the many organizations include Doctors Without Borders, Habitat for Humanity, Feeding America, UNICEF, Save the Children, AIDS Foundation, CARE, and Mercy Ships. During this season of giving, MedGyn would like to highlight some of these amazing organizations.

Doctors Without Borders, established more than 50 years ago, provides lifesaving care to victims of conflicts, epidemics, or natural disasters from medical humanitarians across the globe. Their scope of work focuses on maternal health, malnutrition, and antibiotic resistance, among others. 85% of their funding goes directly to the programs that bring emergency medical care directly to the people who need it.

Another organization that MedGyn supports is Habitat for Humanity, which provides resources and shelter in over 70 countries. Their mission is simple: bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Habitat works together with families, local communities, volunteers and partners from around the world so that more people are able to live in affordable and safe homes.

Currently the largest provider of HIV/AIDS medical care in the world, AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) has developed programs throughout the United States and abroad, with a mission of eradicating the world of AIDS. AHF operates an array of non-profit business lines called the “AHF Circle of Care”, which incorporates innovative ways of treatment, prevention and advocacy. As they have since 1987, AHF continues to provide millions of dollars’ worth of lifesaving services, programs, and more.

Another remarkable organization is Care, which is dedicated to ending poverty and improving the lives of women, girls, and vulnerable populations around the world. Women are a vital part of CARE’s community-based efforts to improve basic education, increase access to quality healthcare and expand economic opportunity for all. Crises such as natural disasters, armed conflict and political unrest increase women’s and girls’ vulnerability. These plights make it harder to access maternal health services even as the need for them becomes more urgent. In these settings, CARE works with local partners and governments to deliver lifesaving interventions.

Finally, Mercy Ships’ mission is to reach people in need with personalized, state-of-the-art medical care. Every year, since 1978, these hospital ships filled with volunteer medical professionals bring hope and healing worldwide. Through surgical care, medical training, and infrastructure development, they provide lifesaving and life-changing surgeries to those most in need. Children and families suffering from painful, disfiguring, and often preventable diseases have been able to find the healing they so desperately need.

Again, MedGyn is proud to support these and many other organizations whose missions align with our own. We will always advocate for the fundamental right to healthcare for all people, and cheer on the healthcare champions, partners, and volunteers who make a profound difference to millions worldwide.

Peace, joy and good health to all this Holiday Season!
